This tour starts and finishes in our own relaxed and intimate Sable Mountain Lodge, offering game drives and a wonderful boat safari. In between, we explore on foot a fabulous game rich area of the reserve.

The bases for this exploration are two innovative and exciting mobile camps, designed to provide both comfort and a thrilling exposure to the nature around.
Itinerary (Min 2 people, Max 8 people)
Day 1. Depart TAZARA station, Dar es Salaam for Kisaki, Selous.
Trains depart Monday 09.00, Tuesday 15.50, Friday 15.50 and the journey takes about 5 ½ hours passing through rural villages and Selous Game Reserve.
Overnight at Sable Mountain Lodge.
Day 2. Full day game drive through game rich areas to Lake Tagalala. Boat safari on Lake Tagalala among the crocs and hippos, fabulous birdlife and all manner of thirsty wild visitors to the lake. Return to Sable Mountain Lodge for dinner and overnight at Sable Mountain Lodge.
Day 3. After a morning relaxing around
the lodge, set off by car towards your very own exclusive mobile camp,
arriving in time for a short walk in the area. 
Day 4. Early morning foot safari following the sand
river and looking for close encounters with big game from giraffes and
buffalo to hippos and elephants. Afternoon game drive into game rich
areas within the reserve. Overnight in your exclusive mobile camp.
Day 5. Set off on a magnificent walk across the interior bush.
Overnight in your exclusive mobile camp.
Day 6. Early morning walk from the camp. Afternoon
walk through the interior bush behind the camp. Overnight at your mobile
camp.
Day 7. Game drive back to Sable Mountain Lodge. Overnight
at the lodge.
Day 8. Relax by the swimming pool or waterhole, lunch,
afternoon flight to Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar.
