Whether in historical Stone Town listening to the distant call to prayer
as you get lost in a maize of streets as the sun goes down and on to the
powder-white sand beaches on the east and north coast. End the day on a romantic dhow cruise with
wine in hand as you watch the sun set. This

Mountain road to Selous Nyerere

Depart after an early breakfast by car to the UNESCO world heritage site of Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve), the largest reserve in Africa. This incredible wilderness is full of wildlife and the best place to see wild dogs. It has fabulous elephant herds, giraffe, zebra, impala and larger antelope such as Sable, Hartebeest & Kudu and healthy lion prides as well as plentiful hippo and crocs out on the lakes. Arrive at Sable Mountain Lodge for dinner.
Game drive & boat safari

06
This
morning head into the park for a full day game drive and boat safari on
fabulous Lake Tagalala where you’ll have your packed lunch amongst the hippos
and crocs watching wildlife come down to the water’s edge to drink.
This
evening you’ll stay on the edge of a stunning lake in Nyamiruba camp where you
won’t get closer to the wildlife. Marvel at the stars above whilst sitting by
the campfire listening to the bush chorus.
