The open-air bar and restaurant serve an extensive international menu, and are located near to the swimming pool, which is fed by natural spring water.  To the west of the camp is a treehouse which overlooks a waterhole frequented in the evening by many wild animals including wild dogs, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and sable antelope.  Activities include game driving, walking safaris and boat safaris on Lake Tagalala, and night time game drives.

Rufiji River Camp - Riverside Safari Destination

Rufiji River Camp is, as the name suggests, located on the banks of the Rufiji River.  It boasts 20 luxury tented bandas, all equipped with comfortable beds and mattresses, sheets, blankets and mosquito netting.  All are west-facing with river views, providing the perfect view for sunset sundowners in true African safari style. 

Every tent has a private walled bath, with water heated by solar panels.  The panels also provide electricity for lighting and for charging phone and camera batteries.  Activities include game drives, fishing, boat safaris on the river, fly camping and guided walking safaris.
