Experience the Wildebeest Migration Like Never Before
This isn't your ordinary safari camp. This is unique experience that moves throughout the Serengeti, following the awe-inspiring wildebeest migration.
Six Land Rover Defenders drive into one of three private sites in the
Serengeti, dependent on time of year and set up as a fabulous solar-powered
camp.
From June
through to mid-July, the suites are located in west Serengeti along the Grumeti
river which is where the wildebeest migration is at this time of year.
Around
mid-July the whole camp moves north to the Mara river where it will stay until
late October once again situated smack bang in the best area for crossings on Mara river.
During November to
mid-December the camp goes back to base camp until it’s next move to the south-east
of Serengeti where it will set up until March.
Relax in our comfortable suites, cleverly housed within iconic Land Rover Defenders. Each evening, unwind by a crackling campfire with an aperitif before indulging in culinary delights prepared by our expert chefs.

Game Drives
It’s best to go out
at dawn or late afternoon to give the best chance of predator action. When it gets hot, lions can be seen but tend
to be lazing under trees after dining. Typically, you’d awake just before dawn and head out after a quick cup
of tea or coffee and return to camp for a brunch. Then relax in the lounge or on you terrace
taking in the view. Often there are so many animals around camp that you won’t
want to go out in the car again but that’s up to you.
Green Season
From mid-December to March, Bush Rovers are stationed in the southeastern region of Serengeti, Kusini. This location is perhaps our favorite, as it is so remote and off the beaten path that you can immerse yourself in the migration without encountering another human soul. During this time, it is the calving season, which attracts numerous predators, making the wildlife interactions even more dramatic and fascinating. The tranquility and isolation of this area provide a truly unique and intimate experience with nature. Here, you can witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of the migration and the intense predator-prey dynamics.
Western Corridor
In June, the migration moves into the Western Corridor, greatly increasing the already abundant wildlife around the Grumeti River. These river crossings can be perilous, often resulting in mass drownings similar to those at the Mara River. Additionally, the area is densely populated with predators, such as lions, leopards and crocodiles, drawn by the influx of prey. This dramatic interplay between migrating herds and predators offers a stark and compelling view of the natural world's raw and unfiltered reality, providing a profound and unforgettable experience.
Mara Crossings
From July to October the
camp will be be up at the Mara river in the far north of the Serengeti. This is
where you’ll get the chance to see thousands of wildebeest crossing back and
forth over the river - the holy grail of
safaris. Once they are crossing, the
large crocs line up along the banks and in the river waiting to take the most
vulnerable! It’s brutal but jaw-dropping
to witness. Where the wildebeest are,
the predators are never far behind looking to get an opportunity to feast!
