About The Zanzibari hotel
The first thing that hits you about The Zanzibari
is the tranquility. The hotel is small with just fifteen rooms but sits on a
large plot so even when the hotel is full, it never feels that way with
everyone having plenty of space to lie reading in hammocks, by the pool, on a
sun lounger on the beach under the shade or walking around the gardens.
If you’re out for the day, it’s lovely to return
to a place of calmness and beauty with a team who cannot do enough to make your
stay even more special. It was our goal
to show people Zanzibar and it’s culture through the hotel so a trip walking up
to the local town of Nungwi with one of our managers is a lovely thing to do as
he will show you behind the scenes into the lives of those who inhabit the
island.
The hotel is well-known for its delicious 4 course evening
meals making a half board stay extra special. Sip delicious cocktails before
dinner in the fantastic Dhow bar built out of an actual sea-faring vessel. The
atmosphere is relaxed, warm & friendly and a place where you can kick off
your flip-flops and dine in bare feet should you wish.
With plenty of excursions on offer to suit all
tastes from historical Stone Town tours to exotic spice tours to sunset dhow
cruises and superb diving, you will never tire of this place.

There are just eight sea and garden view Bougainvillea
en-suite rooms (named after the beautiful flowers that adorn the lush gardens) with
large wooden balconies and lovely views towards the stunning turquoise blue
Indian Ocean.
For something extra special, upgrade to one of two stunning
Frangipane suites with their own private beach garden area and plunge pool.
For
families there is the lovely Bustani suite.
Two ocean view suites offer far-reaching ocean views whilst our fabulous
Love Shacks are right at a small cliff edge a few steps from the white sand
beach.
As well as traditional game drives in Serengeti in our customised Land Rover Defenders, you can also head out on foot from the camp and boat on famous source of the Nile, Lake Victoria. You can be at the gate to the western corridor of Serengeti in just 10 minutes from the camp avoiding paying additional park fees simply to stay inside the park to sleep.
