Tanzania’s Untamed Frontiers
Whilst the famous parks of the north like Serengeti and the
Ngorongoro Crater offer superb wildlife opportunities, not
many people know that there are some superb secret gems in the south of
Tanzania from parks the size of Ireland where you can be out all day and never
see another human soul to parks that allow you to walk deserted beaches for
miles and meet nothing except hyena tracks and baboons.
Saadani National Park
is the only wildlife park in East Africa where the Indian ocean can be lapping
your feet just a short walk from a green turtle nest, a feeding elephant or a
lion’s den.
Selous Nyerere is Africa’s largest park, offering space to explore
and see almost no one. It also offers the chance to explore
its bountiful lakes by boat.
