Exclusive Serengeti Experience
The Bush Rover Migration camp is an award-winning camp made up of just six Land Rover suites that each open up as graceful as a swallow-tail into unique and beautiful safari accommodation spacious, raised high above the animal-scape below and complete with all creature comforts including a bath tub! These suites get to parts others cannot reach and pride themselves on getting to the heart of the great wildebeest migration but away from the crowds. They are not a typical rooftop adaption and will certainly be the most comfortable Land Rovers you ever stay in. Immerse yourself in the very best of Tanzania’s wildlife from the balcony sofa of a Bush Rover suite with champagne in hand. It’s hard to imagine any safari accommodation that gets closer to Tanzania’s wildlife without compromising on comfort.
wildebeest-fest
DAY

Each season offers a different experience. December to March, whilst in the South, the herds are calving and hundreds of thousands of young are born. July to October the animals congregate in the North, regularly crossing the Mara river in Tanzania. When the river is high, these crossings become a spectacular and terrifying undertaking with many animals drowning. In the Western Corridor, in June and early July, lines of wildebeest can be seen heading from South to North, crossing the Grumeti river on the way.
Hunting crocodiles
DAY

All
the water courses of the Serengeti contain large numbers of hippos and crocs;
some of the latter are huge and spend most of the year hidden in caves and
crevices by the river side. When the Migration crosses each of the main rivers,
the Mbalangeti, the Grumeti and the Mara (in particular), these giants slide
into the water for a short season of plenty. Many wildebeest are attacked by
crocodiles when they cross but many more are drowned in the stampede and the
crocs simply drag the carcasses to the water’s edge to feed.
